My iPhones

I started with a 3Gs at firmware 3.0 then moved to a 4G with the lowest firmware and now at firmware 5.01. I just bought the 4Gs with the 5.01. Waiting for the Jailbreak now for the 4s.

How To: Install iPhoto On Non iOS 5.1 Devices

With the recent release of iPhoto and iOS 5.1, Apple has made iPhoto compatible with devices running iOS 5.1 ONLY. Maybe they figured this would be an incentive to get some people to update and leave their untethered jailbreak behind on iOS 5.0.1. But with this simple tutorial you don’t have to update to iOS 5.1 can keep your iOS 5.0.1 firmware (Which is probably jailbroken) , and can install iPhoto! Just follow the steps below and if you need extra help just check out my video tutorial. Enjoy!

Step 1: Open Cydia and download iPhoto501Fix (No source adding necessary)

Step 2: Download iFile from Cydia

Step 3: Open iFile and navigate to /—>System—>Library—>CoreServices—>Systemversion.plist

Step 4: Open SystemVersion.plist in a text file

Step 5: **IMPORTANT** Change 5.0.1 to 5.1

Note: Your device may not say 5.0.1 between the strings. It will say whatever firmware you are on. For example if you are running iOS 4.2 it will say 4.2

Step 6: Done! Open up iPhoto and enjoy!

I have not been able to sync the iPhone to iTunes unless the apps are deleted.
